Christmas Time

Once again its been forever since i last blogged, since last time, it has snowed here in Oklahoma and it only lasted for about 3 or 4 days and then it all melted. One day it'll be 20 degrees and then the next day it'll be 75. So weird. But we try to get out and enjoy the days when its warmer outside. For Christmas this year Tiffany and I took a week off of work and just stayed home and relaxed. It would have been more relaxing but last Saturday we were going to put down new flooring in our master bathroom and paint it, and then i discovered a leak from one of the pipes inside the wall. The project that i thought was going to take a half a day turned out to last 5 days. The wall that the leak was in separates our two bathrooms and everything around the leak was ruined and water damaged, so we had to fix the leak, replaced the framing boards, put up new sheet rock, get a new vanity, paint both bathrooms, and while we were in the process we added a new outlet to our guest bathroom and painted the tub, and got some new decor and shower curtains and rugs (they look 10 times better now). We finished them last Wednesday night so by Christmas day we were done and we didn't have to work on them anymore for the rest of the week. It was good timing since both Tiffany and I were both off of work. I couldn't have done it without her, God has blessed me with an amazaing wife that has so many skills, all in one day she can wake up make breakfast then put up sheet rock, mud and tape, get all dirty, use power tools, clean up, and then cook supper. I'm not sure how she does it. I'm Blessed. I will post the pictures of our project up tonight. Anyways i hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

Wow

I can't believe its been almost a month since i last posted a blog, I need to get better at this. Lets catch up a little, over thanksgiving Tiffany's family came into town and we spent Thanksgiving at my Brother-in-laws house here in town, everyone of of Tiffany's family was able to make it excepet her little brother thats in the Marines in Arizona. Also my sister came down with her boyfriend and his brother and his roomate. So obvioulsy by the sounds of it we had a full house. I think with kids and all we had 18-20 people in the house. Each of Tiffany's sister have children, Cari has two, and Aubrey and Danae each have one. Thats puts the pressure on us since Tiffany is the only sister not to have a baby yet. The world can wait for the Galvan baby. One of Tiffany's sister was sick before she came to Thanksgiving and Tiffany ended up getting sick that same weekend, and then last week i got sick and then i gave it to Tiffany so that Galvan home has been full of coughing, sneezing, headache, and blowing noses. Sounds like fun, but we are getting better now. Last week and in the week to come we have like 4 or 5 X-mas parties to go to that my job and Tiffany's job puts on. It should be fun, i know this is long, but pictures will be up tonight from Thanksgiving and stayed tuned for pics from the X-mas parties.

Here's are a couple more

Sometimes

Sometimes i wonder how i ever go to Bartlesville, OK; its not a bad place to live, its about 35,000 people and its a good place to raise a family (lots of activities for kids). But this is where God wants us and I'd rather have it that way. The city does lack some more resturants, since i moved here i've been hearing they are going to bring a Red Lobster and Olive Garden here, but to this day that hasn't happened. Good thing Tulsa is close by, we go there to absorb the city life and the energy that it brings, which both Tiffany and I like. This is a picture of a couple of the buildings in downtown B'ville, the one in the background is the one i work in, pretty cool pic.

Time Flies when your Having Fun

Its funny how fast time flies by, i remember when i was younger people would tell me how fast time would past when you get older, but when i was young i wanted to be older and be able to drive and not have to go to school, etc but now that i'm older i wish i was younger or at least stay young. Since that is not realistic, we all need to cherish everyday we have to live. Live it like its your last. In this picture is Jaime, my little bro, i can't believe he's already a sophmore in highschool, he was only in kindergarden when i graduated high school, its too bad i'm not around as much to see his games and be there while he's growing up, but i am thankful that he's grown up to be a good kid, he's funny, smart, kind hearted, gets along with anybody and has a very bright future, Jaime if you are reading this love ya man, and keep up the good work, it'll take you places, God will Bless you.

Last one for the Night

This is Tiffany and I at our friends' wedding this past summer.

Shelby

My brother in law just got home from Iraq and for the past couple months we have been doing him and Danae (his wife) a favor by taking care of Shelby, their dog, she's a neat dog, does all kinds of tricks, but also wants the attention,

Project

This is my latest project with our house, it was a small one, but its our linen closet and every single closet when we moved in had aluminum shelves, and since then have added all wooden shelves, gives is a nicer look and modern looking. Here are some before and after pics.

Catching Up

Wow, this is my first time ever to post a blog. My cousin Abner got me into it, since he had one and i thought it would be a great idea to start one of my own to help keep in touch with people and let them know whats going on in my life. Its hard for me to keep in touch with family and relatives because i live so far away from everyone, but God wants us here in this time and I'm cool with that. God has blessed me with a great job here in Bartlesville, OK. (near Tulsa, OK) at Conocophillips, and opportunities are endless. My sister just moved to Oklahoma City about 4 months ago and its good now having her close by. Hopefully this is the first of many blogs that will be posted on here and i will do my best to keep everyone posted on what's going on with Tiffany and I. I can't believe that Tiffany and I have been married for almost 4 1/2 years, its been great and she's a big blessing in my life and without her who knows where i would be or what i would be doing, she urges me to do the things sometimes i don't want to do but i know they are the right thing to do and in the end i'm glad i did it. Thanks Honey. We have lived in Bartlesville for about 3 1/2 years now and have found a church here in town that we absolutely love, Tiffany sings on the worship team and i'm in the sound booth doing sound or running the media part mostly every sunday. We have found good friends here and we are glad we have found friends we can rely on through good and bad. Funny thing when i first moved to B'ville i found out i had a cousin here, her name is Maria Lorton, maybe some of you might know her, but we mexicans pretty much have family anywhere we go, we are family oriented. Anyways this is really long winded and sorry for being a little lengthy, but its my first blog so its ok. So with work, church, socializing, and housework, we keep pretty busy. We have been in our current house for 3 years now and have totally remodeled it. We made it our own and really homey, pics will come soon. Anytime you are in our area let me know and we have two extra bedrooms you can use. i will put up some recent pictures of us that way you don't forget what we look like, God Bless.
